The Prince’s Trust was established in the UK by King Charles in 1976, when he was the Prince of Wales, to assist young people between the ages of 11 and 30 who face struggles with employment, school, or discrimination. The international organisation offers a variety of programmes to help young people overcome obstacles in their personal and professional lives. Rewise has partnered with The Prince’s Trust to create a project that will educate learners about the benefits of green initiatives in construction. This project incorporated both practical and theoretical approaches to allow learners to grow their confidence, maximise employability, and refine their skills.

About the Project

What we did

Get Into Construction:

  • We designed a model house along with instructions for completion.

  • Each kit showcases ways that green technologies can be integrated into home construction by including modifications such as:

    • Solar Panels

    • Underfloor heating

    • Smart Heating

  • Provided a week of practical, hands-on learning and necessary visual/written training.

  • Learners will participate in a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Test, which will:
    • Put their knowledge to the test
    • Open up career opportunities in construction
    • Offer access to industry-wide training and skills development initiatives
  • The test covers 4 key areas:
    • Working Environment
    • Occupational Health
    • Safety
    • High-Rist Activities
  • Learners will have to answer 50 knowledge-based questions
  • To pass, they will need to get 45 questions correctly
  • We make it easy and fun!

Watch us in Action

Learners will...

  • Discover more about Green Construction, and how to implement eco-friendly initiatives into their work

  • Develop their soft skills, especially teamwork, communication and problem-solving

  • Develop an understanding of design principles while creating functional models

  • Cultivate their ability to plan, organize, and manage resources efficiently

  • Kick-start a career in construction

  • Enhance their ability to address construction challenges and devise efficient solutions

  • Have an increased understanding of safety and potential hazards in the workplace

  • Build on their environmental awareness

  • Become more active in improving their skills

‘‘A massive thank you to Rewise for the creation of the House of the Future Project and the delivery of the workshops over these last two weeks as well as all the work going into designing the kits, workshops, and online content.

It has been absolutely amazing to watch the workshops and be a part of them.

Everything you have done is beyond appreciated. Rewises go above and beyond and have made this so effortless for us. ’’

Value Created

The Prince's Trust's mission can be greatly enhanced by Rewise Learning's operations by adding specialised training, workshops, and guidance to the programmes. Through our employability workshops, creative projects, and training in practical skills, Rewise Learning can assist the Prince's Trust in realising its mission of enabling young people to overcome obstacles and thrive in both their personal and professional lives. A more all-encompassing youth support system that integrates education, career readiness, and personal development may result from this collaboration.
