SSE Climate Connect offers education about the environment through curriculum-aligned classroom activities for teachers.
What it is
SSE Climate Connect Hub is a one stop shop for teachers to introduce environmental themes into the classroom using innovative and interactive learning songs, video animations, multiple choice quizzes and downloadable resources. Our curriculum-linked and age-appropriate resources are designed to engage learners in fun and meaningful ways and provide a backdrop by which protecting the environment for future generations can and should become part of daily classroom teaching.

BIODIVERSITY
The natural world never ceases to amaze, with such a diverse array of plant and animal life and a mindboggling range of habitats from coral-reefs to snowy mountaintops, to tropical rainforests.
In this section, we will help learners understand what an ecosystem is and how everything within it depends upon everything else.
Students will learn how man’s actions are threatening not just nature, but our own survival too. And finally, we’ll look at what we can do to help nature and mankind thrive into the future.
NET ZERO
With the world getting hotter and climate change causing issues across the world, we need to understand and work together to stop the situation becoming any worse.
In this module, learners will explore why carbon in the atmosphere is a problem, what has caused it and how achieving Net Zero carbon emissions is one way of trying to prevent climate change.
